Last updated: August 2026
Kumairi Taste of Home values your privacy and handles personal data with care. This Privacy Policy explains which personal data we process when you use our website, request a quotation or contact us, why we process this information, how long we retain it and what rights you have.
1. Who are we?
Kumairi Taste of Home is a catering business based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
For questions about this Privacy Policy or the processing of your personal data, you can contact us at:
2. What personal data do we process?
When you request a quotation, we may process information including:
- first and last name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- preferred contact method, such as email, telephone or WhatsApp;
- event date and event type;
- number of guests;
- event address and location;
- selected catering package and service level;
- selected dishes;
- special requests, comments or other information you provide;
- acknowledgement of our privacy and allergen information;
- optional consent for marketing communications.
When you use our contact form, we process the information you enter yourself, such as your name, contact details, event information and message.
3. Why do we process your personal data?
We process personal data where necessary for purposes including:
- handling and responding to quotation requests;
- preparing and discussing catering proposals;
- communicating about your request, booking or event;
- performing a catering agreement;
- calculating transport costs;
- providing customer service;
- complying with legal and administrative obligations;
- sending marketing communications where you have given consent.
Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on taking steps before entering into or performing a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests or, where required, your consent.
4. Quotation requests and email
When you submit a quotation request through our website, the information you provide is processed through a secure connection and transmitted through the website's email infrastructure to Kumairi Taste of Home.
Kumairi receives the quotation request in its business mailbox. We do not maintain a separate customer database solely for quotation requests.
After a successful submission, an automatic confirmation email may be sent to the email address you provided.
5. Retention periods
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
If a quotation or contact request does not result in an assignment, we generally retain it for a maximum of 12 months.
If your request results in an order or business relationship, certain information may become part of our business and tax administration.
Where a statutory retention requirement applies, we retain the relevant information for the legally required period. Important parts of Dutch business and tax administration generally need to be retained for 7 years.
Information for which no legal retention requirement applies will be deleted when it is no longer necessary.
6. Address and transport-cost calculation
When you enter a postcode and house number while requesting a quotation, we use this information to identify the event location and calculate transport costs.
For address lookup, we use PDOK Locatieserver. The postcode and house number are sent to PDOK through our server.
For calculating driving distance, we use OSRM. OSRM receives geographical coordinates only and does not receive your name, email address, telephone number or written address.
Kumairi does not separately store these address lookups for this purpose.
7. Cookies and local storage
The website currently does not use analytics or marketing cookies. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and comparable advertising or behavioural tracking technologies are not installed.
The website does use functional browser storage (localStorage) for purposes such as:

Our website also contains links to external services such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Google Maps.
When you choose to follow an external link, you leave our website and the relevant provider may process your information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
9. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.
The website uses HTTPS encryption.
Address and transport calculations are performed server-side, and internal configuration information, such as Kumairi's internal departure location and transport rates, is not exposed to visitors.
